Those who follow me regularly know I’m big on drone stocks, and I’ve recommended two related to the sector over the past couple of months. In today’s video, I’d like to share another drone stock to watch.
The first was Kratos Defense & Security Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq: KTOS), which is up about 10% since I last talked about it here on WealthPress. And I expect it will continue to rise as it lands more military contracts for its jet-powered drones.
The second, Raytheon Technologies Corp. (NYSE: RTX), was more of a peripheral pick. If we’re going to have an economy with drones delivering goods to your house, we’ll need a new air traffic control system. That way we can track, monitor and route them from doorstep to doorstep, much like commercial planes.
Raytheon has the tech to do just that.
Today’s drone stock to watch could one day replace taxis or ride-sharing companies — and become the next ride-sharing company of the future.
That’s right… these drones are designed to carry two human passengers up, up and away, above normal street traffic…
This company makes what’s known as “AAVs,” or autonomous aerial vehicles. The company has begun holding demonstration flights of these all-electric drones.
You step in, close the hatch and power up the flight controls. Then sit back as the command control and flight guidance system does the rest — no pilot’s license needed. And according to company specs, this drone can carry two people and luggage up to 485 pounds at a top speed of 80 miles per hour a max distance of 22 miles.
This company has already run more than 2,000 test flights in various weather conditions. It’s also begun holding demo flights outside of China. The craft flew in the U.S. for the first time in January 2020, running a demo for North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper.
This drone stock to watch is a Chinese company that trades on the Nasdaq, and I’ve been following it since 2014. Back then I wondered whether it would really happen or not, and if the tech was ready for prime time.
And now almost seven years later, it is…
Check out my short video below for the full rundown. Then let me know in the comments if you’re interested in drone stocks… and why or why not.
