If Joe Biden had nine lives, he’s using up all of them.
He’s been connected to countless allegations of sexual misconduct (and this doesn’t include the latest allegations levied against him), he and his son Hunter have been linked to shady business dealings in Ukraine, and he’s been an absolute disaster on the campaign trail.
Yet here he is today… STILL the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee for president.
But there’s something brewing about Biden’s past, and this time, it could bury his campaign for good.
As first reported by Newsmax, according to a report from Politico, then-Vice President Biden’s efforts to contain the swine flu were filled with challenges similar to issues President Donald Trump is facing over combating the coronavirus.
Yet Biden has been vocal about Trump’s handling of the coronavirus.
According to the report, the Obama administration’s response to the H1N1 virus was bungled with contradictory messages, a shortage of vaccines and fights over funding.
In fact, very early on the Obama administration (particularly Biden) sent out very mixed messages about the virus.
As the administration was made aware of the swine flu, Biden publicly said he wouldn’t advise his family to fly on an airplane or ride the subway.
He was accused of fearmongering and sending a different message from President Barack Obama who made assurances there was no need to panic even after he declared a national health emergency.
In a matter of hours from when the interview aired on NBC’s “Today,” Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and Deputy Secretary of State Jack Lew were called to the White House and told to clean up Biden’s mess.
LaHood told Politico they were told to “Nip it in the bud.”
Biden was also tasked by Obama to meet with congressional leaders to lobby for nearly $9 billion.
As money flowed in to help develop a vaccine, it wasn’t created fast enough. A promise to deliver over 100 million vaccines wasn’t fulfilled… all while under Biden’s watch.
Yet Biden and his friends in the liberal media are praising his handling of the H1N1 and Ebola outbreaks. Democrats are highlighting in saying he is the leader needed during a crisis. Biden, too, cites his experience handling the swine flu and Ebola.
Even in his endorsement of Biden, Obama said, “Joe helped me manage H1N1 and prevent the Ebola epidemic from becoming the type of pandemic we’re seeing now.”
I guess Biden and his friends forgot about this debacle. What a joke!
