Jobs Report Helps Send Market Higher. Are We Due for a Bounce?

by | Sep 2, 2022 | Market Updates

The broader market moved higher Friday morning on solid jobs report data — and more in Friday’s stock market recap.

The report showed 315,000 jobs added for August, just below the estimate of 318,000.

Investors remain concerned with how aggressive the Federal Reserve will be later this month in terms of increasing interest rate hikes, with another 0.75% hike most likely.

In an uncertain trading environment like this, it’s natural to let your emotions get the better of you. And let’s face it, emotions are one of the biggest factors that determine whether you succeed or fail as a trader!

Of course, managing your emotions when your money is on the line is easier said than done… That’s why I love using algorithms — it takes all of the emotion out of a trade.

So I’m adding an “Algo Trading Corner” every Friday, where I’ll offer tips and tricks I’ve learned along the way.

Check out the segment in this Friday’s stock market recap to see how using algos to remove emotion from a trade led to recent win in the VIX, otherwise known as the “fear gauge.”

In this morning’s stock market recap video, I’ll reveal which sector may bounce back in the near term… whether bonds will rally or break down further… how the latest Fed data will drive price action… if the sell-off in stocks will turn around in the next few sessions… and which sector continues to lag, and which one is set to lead.

Don’t forget to like and subscribe to our YouTube channel if you haven’t already so you can be notified as soon as we post our next video and see what other trade opportunities we’re paying close attention to!

P.S. The Powerful ‘Numerical’ Sequence Hidden Behind Every Stock

Part supercomputer and entirely algorithmic…

We’re not talking about the next self-driving car, but rather the remarkable trading breakthrough known as the “S3 Advantage.”

After two years in development, this brainchild of myself and Jack Carter is finally ready to be released to the public!

It has to do with a powerful “numerical” sequence hidden behind every stock…

And Jack and I just went live to give away all the details on the system. We even revealed the tickers in our S3 Advantage Watchlist!

P.P.S. When it comes to trading, every second counts. And in choppy markets like these, often driven by headlines, stocks can make big moves in a flash.

That’s why I want you to get my latest trading ideas and market updates as fast as possible. So I’m rolling out an all-new option for my students to receive trade alerts with Telegram!

Telegram allows me to get trade ideas, videos and watchlists to you in a matter of seconds.

Check out this short article we put together with instructions on how to download telegram and access my private channel. Go here to get the details.

On Fridays, we’ll review the week that was… We’ll discuss how our trades did, what we learned and how to apply it to next week’s trading plan, and any developing trade setups. This video will put a bow on the week. We’ll also go over winners from my different member strategies.

99 Problems and a “Pivot” is One

A friend of mine sent me this chart about three months ago. I should probably print it and keep it in my wallet next to a photo of my daughter. Given the sheer number of questions I’ve fielded lately, I’ll probably end up showing this chart more than her picture.

Everything Everywhere, Going Down, All At Once

When our momentum reading went negative last week, I didn’t know that we’d have the second largest bank failure in U.S. history three days later. All I knew was that it went negative… and that we got out of the way.
