I Can’t Stop Swing Trading This Incredible Options Flow!

by | Aug 16, 2022 | Options

In Tuesday’s Blitz Daily with Lance Ippolito, we take a look at discount retailer Walmart as shares climb following its earnings event.

It’s another massive trading day — I can’t stop and won’t stop trading this amazing institutional order flow!

My Weekly Blitz Alerts strategy was holding Nu Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: NU) calls with diamond hands, watching our August monthly $5 strike calls dwindle down to just a nickel…

Just when you think the market is out of juice, earnings news swoops in and rains down the gains with shares up over 20%!

And that’s not the only big earnings mover hitting the tape Tuesday — retail behemoth Walmart is trending after beating earnings expectations by more than 10% for the second quarter — three short weeks after lowering its guidance for 2022.

Shares jumped more than 6% on the news and institutional buyers poured into the options chain…

Less than 30 minutes into the open, my scanners spotted bullish traders sweep up about 2,000 contracts of the Aug. 26 expiration, $143 strike calls for around $215,000 in premium!

I’ve said it time and again over the past several weeks, but this is one of the best markets to trade that we’ve seen in a long time and it just keeps giving…

    • Tesla Inc. (Nasdaq: TSLA): Sept. 2, $980 CALL.
    • AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc. (NYSE: AMC): OCt. 21, $22 CALL.
    • WalMart Inc. (NYSE: WMT): Aug. 26, $143 CALL.
    • FuboTV Inc. (NYSE: FUBO): Aug. 19, $4.50 CALL.
    • Upstart Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: UPST): Aug. 19, $36.50 CALL

Check out my short video and I’ll break down the day’s most unusual options order flow in no time flat!

P.S. Over 90 days ago, 80 traders took a HUGE leap of faith…

They joined me inside a beta test group to explore a totally new way to trade options…

I didn’t promise them overnight success, or guarantee them we’d beat the market…

All they knew was we were going to leverage the 120 trillion dollar market force that has caused some of the most prominent stocks to rise and fall…

And we uncovered some of the most incredible trades during some of the worst market conditions I can remember…

We scored a 42%* gain on PYPL in 3 days, 38%* gain on SU in 4 days and a 38%* gain on SDGR*…

And at 11 a.m. EDT, this Thursday, August 18 I’m hosting a special session where I’ll reveal how these 80 brave traders and I outsmarted 2022’s dumpy market.

Blitz Daily With Lance Ippolitto

At Weekly Blitz Alerts, we follow the big fish and what they’re buying. And we do that with my proprietary Blitz Tracker, which alerts me to big, institutional options order flow throughout the day. Then we get in on these plays and follow the “smart money.”

By doing this, we cash in whether the broader market is going up, down or sideways.

The Blitz Daily with Lance Ippolito is where I go over a handful of options trades that hit my Blitz Tracker each day, Monday through Thursday. I will break down the trade with the sexiest order flow and tell you exactly what I think can happen with that stock by the next day’s opening bell.

If you want in on these fast-moving options plays, with entry, exit and profit targets sent directly to you via text and email alerts, be sure to sign up for Weekly Blitz Alerts!

In the meantime, you can follow me @LanceIppolito on Twitter, Instagram and our YouTube channel for more trading insights and tips. And as always, you can find me right here talking stocks and options trading — and printing money — on WealthPress.com!

99 Problems and a “Pivot” is One

A friend of mine sent me this chart about three months ago. I should probably print it and keep it in my wallet next to a photo of my daughter. Given the sheer number of questions I’ve fielded lately, I’ll probably end up showing this chart more than her picture.

Everything Everywhere, Going Down, All At Once

When our momentum reading went negative last week, I didn’t know that we’d have the second largest bank failure in U.S. history three days later. All I knew was that it went negative… and that we got out of the way.
