WWE Calls Soar After Vince McMahon ‘Retires’

by | Jul 25, 2022 | Options

In Monday’s Blitz Daily with Lance Ippolito, we take a look at entertainment icon WWE as shares spike after its CEO stepped down.

It was a hot weekend and Monday started off even hotter despite that sluggish low-volume summer flow!

The Nasdaq kicked the week off with a nice 69-point gap down at the open, helping our Wiretap Alerts score its second hat trick of winning trades for July!

But that’s not what has me “stylin’ and profilin’” this Monday… Oh, you didn’t know? Well you you better call somebody because the big news this weekend came straight out of Stamford, Connecticut.

That’s right… Vincent Kennedy McMahon announced his retirement as CEO of  World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. (NYSE: WWE) after more than four decades at the helm!

I was screaming from the mountain tops this past week all about the ultra-rare order flow we saw in the iconic sports entertainment stock, superkicking shares as much as 10.5% higher Monday!

The momentum helped Weekly Blitz Alerts land the elbow from the top rope and close out the second leg of a monster four-day trade for a scorching 200%* gain — curb-stomping the lifetime weighted average of 14% including all winners and losers, and the eight-day average holding period!

Days like this are why we follow institutional order flow and why traders need to know what’s hitting the tape today…

    • Ford Motor Co. (NYSE: F): Aug. 26, $12.5 PUT.
    • Exxon Mobil Corp. (NYSE: XOM): Aug. 5, $89 PUT.
    • Applied Materials Inc. (Nasdaq: AMAT): Sept. 16, $90 PUT.
    • Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT): Sept. 16., $285 CALL.

Check out the short video, see me slam some calls and I’ll break down the day’s most unusual options order flow in no time flat!

And for more guidance on how to trade “Shadow Blitzes” like these through earnings season, check out my Weekly Blitz Alerts strategy… But act fast, because the special offer ends at midnight — 12:00 a.m. EDT June 26!

Blitz Daily With Lance Ippolitto

At Weekly Blitz Alerts, we follow the big fish and what they’re buying. And we do that with my proprietary Blitz Tracker, which alerts me to big, institutional options order flow throughout the day. Then we get in on these plays and follow the “smart money.”

By doing this, we cash in whether the broader market is going up, down or sideways.

The Blitz Daily with Lance Ippolito is where I go over a handful of options trades that hit my Blitz Tracker each day, Monday through Thursday. I will break down the trade with the sexiest order flow and tell you exactly what I think can happen with that stock by the next day’s opening bell.

If you want in on these fast-moving options plays, with entry, exit and profit targets sent directly to you via text and email alerts, be sure to sign up for Weekly Blitz Alerts!

In the meantime, you can follow me @LanceIppolito on Twitter, Instagram and our YouTube channel for more trading insights and tips. And as always, you can find me right here talking stocks and options trading — and printing money — on WealthPress.com!

99 Problems and a “Pivot” is One

A friend of mine sent me this chart about three months ago. I should probably print it and keep it in my wallet next to a photo of my daughter. Given the sheer number of questions I’ve fielded lately, I’ll probably end up showing this chart more than her picture.

Everything Everywhere, Going Down, All At Once

When our momentum reading went negative last week, I didn’t know that we’d have the second largest bank failure in U.S. history three days later. All I knew was that it went negative… and that we got out of the way.
