A Cyclical Play With 75% Historic Accuracy, Plus My Top Sector, Option

by | Jun 23, 2022 | Market Updates

U.S. stock futures are higher this morning as Wall Street attempts to recover some of its losses from the most recent sell-off — and more in Thursday’s stock market recap.

Most of my attention is on the iShares Russell 2000 ETF (NYSEArca: IWM), an ETF that tracks the performance of U.S. small-cap stocks. That’s because of its rebalance in the last week of June, which tends to send it higher than usual.

If the Russell 2000 trades above the $174 level, it’ll be the very first sign of resistance…

But the most interesting thing right now is that the broader market and the iShares 20-Plus Year Treasury Bond ETF (Nasdaq: TLT) rallied on Wednesday after Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said the U.S. economy could go into a recession.

This tells us the majority of wild trading action we’re seeing is in fact already priced into the market because the bond market isn’t assimilating higher long-term interest rates…

In this morning’s stock market recap video, I’ll go into more detail on the cyclical play on the Russell 2000 this week… major levels on key indices… how Thursday’s Fed report will impact stocks… the top sector ETF and option pick… which stocks to play close attention to right now… and an update on the ongoing major sector rotation.

P.S. Did you know there’s a way to hack the stock market by “legally spying” on trade ideas from high-profile company insiders?

I’m talking about a signal that has already identified over 80 unique stock rallies since 2020!

In fact, New Money Crew Head Trader Lance Ippolito has been using this signal for more than a decade…

He’s confident anyone can pick it up and start implementing it, so he’s hosting a training session at 11 a.m. EDT today, June 23, to show everyone step by step how it works.

P.P.S. When it comes to trading, every second counts. And in choppy markets like these, often driven by headlines, stocks can make big moves in a flash.

Each Thursday, I’ll combine two of my favorite things into a big-money opportunity: options plays and ETFs. Using options, we can turn momentum analysis of a specific sector — or even an entire country’s stock market — into an actionable trade with double- or triple-digit upside potential. I’ll give you all the details you need to execute this plan.

99 Problems and a “Pivot” is One

A friend of mine sent me this chart about three months ago. I should probably print it and keep it in my wallet next to a photo of my daughter. Given the sheer number of questions I’ve fielded lately, I’ll probably end up showing this chart more than her picture.

Everything Everywhere, Going Down, All At Once

When our momentum reading went negative last week, I didn’t know that we’d have the second largest bank failure in U.S. history three days later. All I knew was that it went negative… and that we got out of the way.
