The Key Prices to Watch as Russia-Ukraine Negotiations Begin

by | Feb 28, 2022 | Market Updates

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine is the major driving force of stocks right now — and more in Monday’s stock market recap.

The major indices are set to open lower this morning, and virtually everything will be overshadowed by what happens between Russia and Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the Department of the Treasury announced new sanctions against Russia that could immobilize any assets of the Russian central bank in the U.S. Western nations also blocked some Russian banks from the global payments system, which caused the ruble to plunge to a record low of less than one U.S. penny.

What all this means is that if Russians have money outside of the country itself, aye yai yai… no soup for them!

We also have a lot of Federal Reserve data as well as International Trade in Goods, the latest ISM manufacturing activity, jobless claims and the employment situation.

The other biggest rhythm to this week will be prices… business to business and business to consumer prices.

In this morning’s stock market recap video, we’ll discuss the latest news between Russia and Ukraine… the key price levels to watch… and all of this week’s most important data and reports.

P.S. To Put It Simply, It’s Chaos

The markets are in a free fall and many investors are struggling with where to move their money.

And while we go about our day with heavy hearts, it’s important to remember that behind most setbacks come new opportunities.

I’m watching six different stocks listed in my new report that will come out on top after the crisis.

And at 1 p.m. EST on Tuesday, March 1, I’ll show everyone how to put these six stocks to use and take advantage of this major pullback we’re in.

99 Problems and a “Pivot” is One

A friend of mine sent me this chart about three months ago. I should probably print it and keep it in my wallet next to a photo of my daughter. Given the sheer number of questions I’ve fielded lately, I’ll probably end up showing this chart more than her picture.

Everything Everywhere, Going Down, All At Once

When our momentum reading went negative last week, I didn’t know that we’d have the second largest bank failure in U.S. history three days later. All I knew was that it went negative… and that we got out of the way.
