2 Indicators Pointing to an Oversold Market. What to Expect Next Week

by | Jun 17, 2022 | Market Updates

U.S. stock futures are up this morning as Wall Street grapples with a week of sharp losses — and more in Friday’s stock market recap.

The most important thing investors should have their eyes on right now is the iShares 20-Plus Year Treasury Bond ETF (Nasdaq: TLT). The bond market has been choppy lately and the longer it goes sideways, the less pressure there will be on stocks because it has an inverse relationship with short-term interest rates.

This is a great sign that we’re bottoming out, or that we’re going to be in a choppier market and that the strongest downside pressure is behind us.

In fact, volatility via the VIX, or fear gauge, did not make a higher high this week.

The put/call ratio is still above 1, which means more people buying puts than calls. But this also tells us that the market is stretched out because nobody is buying calls. And when the market starts to turn around, all of the puts will get covered.

In this morning’s stock market recap video, I’ll go over the latest Federal Reserve report and what it means for stocks… an update on the bond market… how to gauge the current market cycle effectively… where volatility is headed and the pattern that’s developing… which sector is giving hints of a turnaround… and the stocks to focus on next week.

P.S. Due to the overwhelming, positive feedback I’ve gotten, I decided to go live again at 1 p.m. EDT on Friday, June 17, with the biggest trading breakthrough of my entire career…

It’s a brand-new way to trade stocks without having to use any sort of fundamental or technical indicators.

But there’s a catch…

I’m only letting 250 of my most loyal and dedicated students in on this special journey because my goal is to hyper-focus on the first group before the system officially goes public.

If you think you have what it takes to be part of the first 250 founding members…

P.P.S. When it comes to trading, every second counts. And in choppy markets like these, often driven by headlines, stocks can make big moves in a flash.

That’s why I want you to get my latest trading ideas and market updates as fast as possible. So I’m rolling out an all-new option for my students to receive trade alerts with Telegram!

Telegram allows me to get trade ideas, videos and watchlists to you in a matter of seconds.

99 Problems and a “Pivot” is One

A friend of mine sent me this chart about three months ago. I should probably print it and keep it in my wallet next to a photo of my daughter. Given the sheer number of questions I’ve fielded lately, I’ll probably end up showing this chart more than her picture.

Everything Everywhere, Going Down, All At Once

When our momentum reading went negative last week, I didn’t know that we’d have the second largest bank failure in U.S. history three days later. All I knew was that it went negative… and that we got out of the way.
