The Best Strategy for Today’s Market and My Top ETF With an Option Pick

by | Jun 30, 2022 | Market Updates

U.S. stock futures are lower this morning as inflation fears continue driving the market while the S&P 500 gets ready to wrap up its worst first half of the year in decades — and more in Thursday’s stock market recap.

The good news is that the iShares 20-Plus Year Treasury Bond ETF (Nasdaq: TLT) is still moving sideways. The fact that the TLT is trading like this is instrumental because it tells us that it doesn’t anticipate long-term yields going higher.

If the TLT can continue to trade within its current range while the U.S. economy works itself back into a positive state, it’ll be extremely beneficial and relieve some of the pressure on the broader market.

In other words, the bond market’s choppiness buys us some more time…

But another positive thing to note is that volatility via the VIX, or fear gauge, is also starting to narrow out and move in line with what I’m seeing in the bond market.

In this morning’s stock market recap video, I’ll give you a deep dive into the major sectors… what the bond market is signaling right now… whether the Energy sector has peaked out… what current volatility levels tell me about the broader market… if more speculative stocks are set to start leading… the top strategy for today’s market… and the top ETF with option pick.

P.S. A recent CNBC poll reported that 41% of Americans say it’s going to take a miracle to be ready for retirement.

If you’re in this huge group of potential investors and already battling soaring costs, then you need to watch this immediately.

Each Thursday, I’ll combine two of my favorite things into a big-money opportunity: options plays and ETFs. Using options, we can turn momentum analysis of a specific sector — or even an entire country’s stock market — into an actionable trade with double- or triple-digit upside potential. I’ll give you all the details you need to execute this plan.

99 Problems and a “Pivot” is One

A friend of mine sent me this chart about three months ago. I should probably print it and keep it in my wallet next to a photo of my daughter. Given the sheer number of questions I’ve fielded lately, I’ll probably end up showing this chart more than her picture.

Everything Everywhere, Going Down, All At Once

When our momentum reading went negative last week, I didn’t know that we’d have the second largest bank failure in U.S. history three days later. All I knew was that it went negative… and that we got out of the way.
