The markets opened lower as talks between Russia and Ukraine ended without progress aside from an agreement to meet again — and more in Tuesday’s stock market recap.
The war between these two nations is entering its sixth day as Russia bears down on Ukraine’s capital city of Kyiv.
Both the Dow and S&P 500 ended Monday with losses, while a late session rally pushed the Nasdaq higher.
Oil prices have soared to $101 per barrel, the highest level since July 2014.
Investors are feeling increasingly nervous, especially in regards to the Federal Reserve’s plans to raise interest rates.
However, as the war continues, many expect the Fed and other central to take a more gentle approach.
In this morning’s stock market recap video, you’ll learn which sector is leading and which stock continues to outperform… whether the bond market is overbought or oversold… what volatility is telling us about the war… how to trade the current volatility levels… and the most likely scenario over the next few days.

And while we go about our day with heavy hearts, it’s important to remember that behind most setbacks come new opportunities.
I’m watching six different stocks listed in my new report that should come out on top after the crisis.
And at 1 p.m. EST on Tuesday, March 1, I’ll show everyone how to put these six stocks to use and take advantage of this major pullback we’re in.
