1 Sector That Could Save This Market. Plus Trade Ideas for Next Week

by | Mar 11, 2022 | Market Updates

The markets opened higher following hopes that ceasefire talks between Russia and Ukraine will progress — and more in Friday’s stock market recap.

Despite opening down on Thursday, stocks managed to end the day almost positive.

This tells me we’re not entering a recession, as some investors fear. When we enter a recession, there’s usually far less volatility.

But the fact that we’re seeing volatility indicates that investors are still in the markets, they’re just anxious. And inflation and talk of interest rate hikes certainly doesn’t help.

The Federal Reserve is expected to raise rates by a quarter of a percentage point, the first hike since 2018.

Since higher rates slow the economy, the Fed is walking a tightrope, trying to bring down inflation but not cause a recession.

However, it seems like the bond market has already priced in the rate hike, and I’ll explain why in this video.

In this morning’s stock market recap video, you’ll learn the three factors predicting bulls will win over the bears… an update on the bond market and interest rate fluctuations… a full review of market internals including volatility levels… a review of major Fed data… an update on the Dow and S&P 500 levels… where money is flowing into the past few days… and what to expect from the market next week.

P.S. Traders Left to Fend for Themselves

There’s a right way and a wrong way to trade this volatility.

The secret to finding winning trades right now is all in what I call the “Super Stocks.”

Our biggest winners were found by cutting all the deadweight out of the market, focusing only on the strongest stocks.

So I’m going live at 1 p.m. EST today to go over my Super Stocks algorithmic trading strategy.

Tune in even if you stopped by earlier this week as I will be giving away five stocks to take action right now!

Don’t Miss It!

P.P.S. When it comes to trading, every second counts. And in choppy markets like these, often driven by headlines, stocks can make big moves in a flash.

That’s why I want you to get my latest trading ideas and market updates as fast as possible. So I’m rolling out an all-new option for my students to receive trade alerts with Telegram!

99 Problems and a “Pivot” is One

A friend of mine sent me this chart about three months ago. I should probably print it and keep it in my wallet next to a photo of my daughter. Given the sheer number of questions I’ve fielded lately, I’ll probably end up showing this chart more than her picture.

Everything Everywhere, Going Down, All At Once

When our momentum reading went negative last week, I didn’t know that we’d have the second largest bank failure in U.S. history three days later. All I knew was that it went negative… and that we got out of the way.
