The Top Defensive Sectors for a Market That Could Be Bottoming Out

by | Mar 7, 2022 | Market Updates

The major indices reversed most of their overnight losses to open down slightly — and more in Monday’s stock market recap.

At one point, the Nasdaq was down about 300 points while the Dow was down more than 500 in premarket trading.

The bond market also opened lower, and I’ll explain why that’s so significant in today’s video.

The war between Russia and Ukraine continues to drive the markets. And while most reports on the schedule this week won’t have much of an impact, there are a few we should pay attention to: International Trade in Goods and Services, Consumer Price Index and consumer sentiment.

Consumer sentiment is especially important because retail sales make up two-thirds of the U.S. economy.

In this morning’s stock market recap video, you’ll discover the four indicators pointing to higher prices in stocks… the market’s current momentum levels… major events that could increase volatility… which sector is leading and which is lagging… and which stocks to buy and which to short right now.

Don’t forget to like and subscribe to our YouTube channel if you haven’t already so you can be notified as soon as we post our next video and see what other trade opportunities we’re paying close attention to!

P.S. Traders Left to Fend for Themselves

Funds and institutions use algorithmic trading to give themselves an almost unfair advantage over the rest of the market… leaving other traders to fend for themselves.

That’s why I created this brand-new e-book where I breakdown how Wall Street has found a way to win no matter what direction the market goes.

I’m going live at 1 p.m. EST on Tuesday, March 8, to break down how my strategy works, and how any trader can use it to battle the algos in the market right now.

99 Problems and a “Pivot” is One

A friend of mine sent me this chart about three months ago. I should probably print it and keep it in my wallet next to a photo of my daughter. Given the sheer number of questions I’ve fielded lately, I’ll probably end up showing this chart more than her picture.

Everything Everywhere, Going Down, All At Once

When our momentum reading went negative last week, I didn’t know that we’d have the second largest bank failure in U.S. history three days later. All I knew was that it went negative… and that we got out of the way.
