Why Wednesday Is an Extra-Dangerous Day to Trade

by | Nov 23, 2022 | Market Updates

The major indexes are mixed as investors await the Federal Reserve’s meeting minutes, due out Wednesday afternoon — and more in Wednesday’s stock market recap.

Investors will look to the meeting minutes for insight into the Fed’s approach on monetary policy and the pace of future rate hikes ahead of its next meeting in December.

The market is also digesting several key reports… October’s durable goods data came in better than expected at 1% versus estimates of 0.5%. Meanwhile, jobless claims data came in at 240,000 versus the 225,000 expected, signaling the labor market may be weakening.

In this morning’s stock market recap video, I’ll discuss if the market is ready to trade higher or lower… why today is a dangerous day for the markets… which report is key and what I’m expecting from the Dow… how to navigate today’s market with all the Fed data and earnings… plus why I believe markets are grossly overbought and what to expect next week!

P.S. What WWII, the Great Recession and the COVID-19 Crash Had In Common

Trading has been harder than ever for most this year…

But what if you were able to take advantage of ONE market trend that’s been proven, time and time again?

One that’s never failed to unfold, even during the Great Depression, World War II, 1987’s Black Monday and the dot-com crash, to name a few…

We’re talking about one trend a very unlikely trader stumbled upon about 560 days ago… And once she shared this trend with me, I was SHOCKED!

I just couldn’t believe I’d never seen this in my near-three decades of trading…

So I insisted she reveal it to all my readers LIVE at 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Nov. 23.

And the best part is, it doesn’t cost a thing to attend!

Uncover the Details Here

99 Problems and a “Pivot” is One

A friend of mine sent me this chart about three months ago. I should probably print it and keep it in my wallet next to a photo of my daughter. Given the sheer number of questions I’ve fielded lately, I’ll probably end up showing this chart more than her picture.

Everything Everywhere, Going Down, All At Once

When our momentum reading went negative last week, I didn’t know that we’d have the second largest bank failure in U.S. history three days later. All I knew was that it went negative… and that we got out of the way.
