The major indexes rose Tuesday morning following a three-day weekend for Labor Day — and more in Tuesday’s stock market recap.
Since we have a shortened trading week, the market is likely to be subdued and we might not see much volume the first few days.
We don’t have many earnings reports or much data to look forward to this week, but we will hear from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell on Thursday.
Investors will look for more guidance on what’s to come, but it’s widely assumed the Fed will once again raise interest rates by 0.75% this month.
