The Bears Are Buying as Tesla Falls on Twitter News

by | Oct 4, 2022 | Options

In Tuesday’s Blitz Daily with Lance Ippolito, we take a look at the ongoing saga between Elon Musk and Twitter.

In yet another twist to the story, Musk proposed buying Twitter Inc. (NYSE: TWTR) again on Monday evening at his original offer price of $54.20 a share, offered back in April. A new deal would bring an end to the months-long legal fight between the Tesla Inc. (Nasdaq: TSLA) CEO and the social media company.

While Twitter shares are up almost 13% on the news, Tesla shares are down about 3%, and the bears are here for it.

They’re scooping up the weekly puts, especially the Oct. 7 expiration, $250 and $240 strike puts.

But that’s not the only bearish flow we’re seeing on Wednesday’s tape…

  • Tesla Inc. (Nasdaq: TSLA): Oct. 7 $250 PUT.
  • Tesla Inc. (Nasdaq: TSLA): Oct. 7 $240 PUT.
  • Blackstone Inc. (NYSE: BX): Oct. 14, $90 PUT.
  • DICK’S Sporting Goods Inc. (NYSE: DKS): March 17, 2023, $80 PUT.
  • Amazon.com Inc. (Nasdaq: AMZN): Oct. 14, $119 PUT.

Check out my short video and I’ll break down the day’s most unusual options order flow in no time flat!

P.S. Think the Bottom Is In? See This First…

With 2022 being such a tough year already, the LAST thing we want to do is add more rain to your parade…

But this is unavoidable.

You see, just the other day, when Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell committed to hiking interest rates again, and again… Something scary happened in the housing market.

Mortgage rates jumped to new highs — numbers even higher than before the Great Recession.

  • 30-year fixed: 7.479%.
  • 30-year fixed FHA: 6.917%.
  • 30-year fixed VA: 7.352%.

Now, for those who own a home, you might wonder what this has to do with you…

The answer is everything… Your retirement plans… Your nest egg… Your kids’ and grandkids’ futures…

Joy of the Trade’s Jeff Zananiri believes it could change the landscape of America forever.

Which is why he just revealed everything behind this opportunity in a special emergency briefing.

99 Problems and a “Pivot” is One

A friend of mine sent me this chart about three months ago. I should probably print it and keep it in my wallet next to a photo of my daughter. Given the sheer number of questions I’ve fielded lately, I’ll probably end up showing this chart more than her picture.

Everything Everywhere, Going Down, All At Once

When our momentum reading went negative last week, I didn’t know that we’d have the second largest bank failure in U.S. history three days later. All I knew was that it went negative… and that we got out of the way.
