Boardroom Shakeup Spurs Repeat Seven-Figure Bullish Bets

by | Sep 14, 2022 | Options

In Wednesday’s Blitz Daily with Lance Ippolito, we take a look at veterinary medicine company Elanco Animal Health after a surge in bullish trading activity.

Markets are getting a small bounce Wednesday on the heels of the biggest bloodbath to hit the tape since the height of the pandemic lockdowns…

But one trader’s sell-off is another’s dip buy, and we’re seeing plenty of bloodthirsty bulls looking to make a mint off of the plunge!

One beaten-down name making moves this week is our good friend Elanco Animal Health. The animal pharmaceuticals business has seen its shares almost cut in half so far in 2022, prompting a shake-up in the boardroom on Sept. 8.

The next day, the C-suite set out to prove exactly how committed it is to the success of the company with a nice $1 million insider buy from board members, including CEO Jeffery Simmons…

Those moves helped spur a massive wave of bullish activity, trading over 20,000 contracts of the April 21, 2023, expiration, $14 strike calls for over $6 million Tuesday… And today they’re back for more!

In the first 30 minutes of Wednesday’s open, my scanners spotted another 5,000 contracts of the same April calls hitting the wire, adding $1.5 million of premium to the prior day’s tally.

And if you like that, I have more degenerate call buys waiting for you inside…

  • Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL): Oct. 7, $160 CALL.
  • Tesla Inc. (Nasdaq: TSLA): Sept. 16, $295 CALL.
  • Elanco Animal Health Inc. (NYSE: ELAN): April  21, 2023 $14 CALL.

Check out my short video and I’ll break down the day’s most unusual options order flow in no time flat!

P.S. No one wants to work Saturday and Sunday, we get it…

Traders from Wall Street to home offices grind it out Monday through Friday, just waiting for the weekend.

But here’s the secret…

They’re neglecting the fact that great trades may be up for grabs.

I discovered a rinse-and-repeat plan that anyone with a cell phone and a brokerage account can take advantage of, even on a weekly basis…

And at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15 I’m going LIVE to pull back the curtain on this potent strategy and share details on my No. 1 stock for the rest of this month!

Don’t Waste the Weekend!

Blitz Daily With Lance Ippolitto

At Weekly Blitz Alerts, we follow the big fish and what they’re buying. And we do that with my proprietary Blitz Tracker, which alerts me to big, institutional options order flow throughout the day. Then we get in on these plays and follow the “smart money.”

By doing this, we cash in whether the broader market is going up, down or sideways.

The Blitz Daily with Lance Ippolito is where I go over a handful of options trades that hit my Blitz Tracker each day, Monday through Thursday. I will break down the trade with the sexiest order flow and tell you exactly what I think can happen with that stock by the next day’s opening bell.

If you want in on these fast-moving options plays, with entry, exit and profit targets sent directly to you via text and email alerts, be sure to sign up for Weekly Blitz Alerts!

In the meantime, you can follow me @LanceIppolito on Twitter, Instagram and our YouTube channel for more trading insights and tips. And as always, you can find me right here talking stocks and options trading — and printing money — on WealthPress.com!

99 Problems and a “Pivot” is One

A friend of mine sent me this chart about three months ago. I should probably print it and keep it in my wallet next to a photo of my daughter. Given the sheer number of questions I’ve fielded lately, I’ll probably end up showing this chart more than her picture.

Everything Everywhere, Going Down, All At Once

When our momentum reading went negative last week, I didn’t know that we’d have the second largest bank failure in U.S. history three days later. All I knew was that it went negative… and that we got out of the way.
