Are Markets up or Down? Who Cares — Just Follow the Order Flow

by | Mar 2, 2022 | Options

It’s hard to get much of anything going in these yo-yo markets…

The indexes were up early Wednesday after two days of selling off thanks to an early morning pump from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell…

But looking at market internals, there’s no real trend to follow. Headlines from the Russia-Ukraine war or the Fed can flip momentum at any given moment…

What might be the greatest stock ever one day can be the biggest pig in the market the next.

And that means holding long-term positions is a great way to get gray hair.

Markets like this are why I love trading institutional order flow… Because no matter which direction things are moving, big orders are always hitting the tape — and we follow.

Use Institutional Order Flow to Level the Playing Field

Some folks call it institutional order flow. Others call it unusual options activity (UOA)…

Whatever you want to call it, tracking these massive option buys from the “smart money” has been my favorite way to trade for the past eight years…

One of the big reasons I love it is because… it’s profitable, of course!

But also because you can trade it without having to put in loads of legwork picking a market direction, or trying to guess which way the indexes are heading next.

Institutional traders have been buying the dip on Weekend Watchlist member Bank of America Corp. (NYSE: BAC). The March 11 $40 strike calls from Tuesday’s Blitz Daily saw a nice pop Wednesday with the stock up about 2%.

We’re also seeing a big move in Tempur Sealy International Inc. (NYSE: TPX) calls I spotted LIVE with traders on Tuesday, trading about 30% higher by lunchtime.

When markets get choppy, following these big orders can be a huge equalizer for retail traders — which is why its important to keep your eyes on resources like the Blitz Daily

Check out the quick video below and let’s talk about institutional order flow. Of course, if you want to find out how I trade “Shadow Blitzes” as soon as I see them, tune in to my “Shadow Blitz Summit”!

P.S. Ever wonder why Wall Street always seems to be one step ahead of the average Joe trader?

It’s because the big firms have a ton of top-secret trading strategies that give them an edge over everyone else!

And while their methods are usually kept under lock and key… I’m pulling back the curtain on Wall Street’s best-kept secret strategy.

For two years, I’ve taken advantage of what I call a “Shadow Blitz” to help capture incredible gains.

This strategy has already handed everyday traders windfalls like 50% on UAA, 27% on MPC and 48% on DAL — all of those in 24 hours or less!

99 Problems and a “Pivot” is One

A friend of mine sent me this chart about three months ago. I should probably print it and keep it in my wallet next to a photo of my daughter. Given the sheer number of questions I’ve fielded lately, I’ll probably end up showing this chart more than her picture.

Everything Everywhere, Going Down, All At Once

When our momentum reading went negative last week, I didn’t know that we’d have the second largest bank failure in U.S. history three days later. All I knew was that it went negative… and that we got out of the way.

I want to talk about our version of “Trust but Verify” in the markets. Qualification is the most important part of the investing process. And this F score value strategy looks to be crushing the current market.
