Major Levels to Watch Next Week as the Market Remains Volatile

by | Mar 18, 2022 | Market Updates

The markets are down again after the S&P 500 and Nasdaq climbed for three straight sessions on Thursday — and more in Friday’s stock market recap.

The Nasdaq and the Dow opened lower after a three-day rally. But in this kind of market, such movement isn’t unusual, especially when we’re seeing 600-point swings on a daily basis in the Dow.

The good news is that despite the volatility, momentum levels are starting to come back up. About 32% of stocks in the Nasdaq are trading above their 200-day moving averages, so there’s likely not much downside left in the market in the near term.

And if the major indices can rise above their 200-day moving averages, there will be a large influx of buyers, propelling the market higher.

In this morning’s stock market recap video, you’ll discover bullish levels for the major indices… which non-energy stocks are making waves… what volatility and market internals are pointing to… whether small caps are ready for action… an update on the latest Federal Reserve data… and how to trade the current market effectively.

99 Problems and a “Pivot” is One

A friend of mine sent me this chart about three months ago. I should probably print it and keep it in my wallet next to a photo of my daughter. Given the sheer number of questions I’ve fielded lately, I’ll probably end up showing this chart more than her picture.
