1 Bullish and Bearish Play as the Market Digests Interest Rate Hikes

by | Mar 23, 2022 | Market Updates

The markets are down once again as volatility spikes just one day after they resumed their upward climb — and more in Wednesday’s stock market recap.

The indices are still trying to digest Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s Monday comments signaling more aggressive interest rate hikes to fight “too high” inflation.

There’s some good news, though… The broader indices have had a good run since the Fed started raising rates.

And despite the volatility we’re seeing, the S&P 500 managed to close above its 50-day moving average. We want to see it continue to climb, especially past the $460 level, which is an important point of resistance on its way up.

In this morning’s stock market recap video, you’ll discover which sectors to pay close attention to… major price levels and a volatility examination on the major indices… an update on the global economy… plus the top long and short plays in the current environment.

P.S. In a Sea of Red, I Found Some Green!

There’s a right way and a wrong way to trade this volatility.

The secret to finding winning trades right now is all in what I call the “Super Stocks.”

That’s why I went live again to break down a strategy that will help investors take a more systematic approach to trading.

I’m also giving out my new e-book so they can better understand all the information I shared.

In it, I talk about the No. 1 mistake traders make that allows Wall Street algorithms to rob them blind. I also reverse engineer the algorithmic system I use in the strategy to show everyone exactly how it works.

99 Problems and a “Pivot” is One

A friend of mine sent me this chart about three months ago. I should probably print it and keep it in my wallet next to a photo of my daughter. Given the sheer number of questions I’ve fielded lately, I’ll probably end up showing this chart more than her picture.

Everything Everywhere, Going Down, All At Once

When our momentum reading went negative last week, I didn’t know that we’d have the second largest bank failure in U.S. history three days later. All I knew was that it went negative… and that we got out of the way.
