Strongest and Weakest Stocks as Major Sector Rotation Begins

by | May 10, 2022 | Market Updates

U.S. stock futures bounced following the S&P 500’s fall to its lowest level in over a year — and more in Tuesday’s stock market recap.

The brutal selling in the stock market has been caused in part by the rise in the 10-year Treasury yield as traders fear the Federal Reserve is unable to control inflation.

The yield on the 10-year fell below 3% premarket Tuesday morning as the major indexes moved higher.

President Joe Biden is set to deliver comments on inflation Tuesday ahead of key reports coming out on Wednesday and Thursday — the Consumer and Producer price indexes.

We’re also seeing the beginnings of a major sector rotation… For months, the Energy sector was leading and Communications Services was lagging. But all that has changed.

That’s also why I’m holding a special live training session at 1 p.m. EDT today, Tuesday, May 10, to help you prepare for what comes next.

In this morning’s stock market recap video, you’ll learn why the Energy sector is no longer leading… why Communications Services is no longer lagging… the major report to watch this week… an earnings update… the key levels for the long bond and stocks… plus a major sector rotation could be happening!

I want to reveal it so those who want to take action before the next meeting in June can do so…

99 Problems and a “Pivot” is One

A friend of mine sent me this chart about three months ago. I should probably print it and keep it in my wallet next to a photo of my daughter. Given the sheer number of questions I’ve fielded lately, I’ll probably end up showing this chart more than her picture.

Everything Everywhere, Going Down, All At Once

When our momentum reading went negative last week, I didn’t know that we’d have the second largest bank failure in U.S. history three days later. All I knew was that it went negative… and that we got out of the way.
