WARNING: Major Market Vulnerability Ahead — Now Is No Time to Be a Hero

by | Nov 30, 2022 | Market Updates

The major indexes were flat Wednesday morning as the market awaits remarks from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell at 1:30 p.m. ET — and more in Wednesday’s stock market recap.

Two reports released before the market open gave mixed signals into the health of the economy.

The ADP employment report showed private companies added just 127,000 jobs for the month of November, well below consensus estimates of 190,000.

However, third-quarter gross domestic product data was revised higher to 2.9% from 2.6%, hinting that the economy was stronger than first estimated.

Powell’s Wednesday afternoon speech is expected to give insight into the central bank’s sentiment toward future interest rate increases. The Fed is scheduled to meet in December and is expected to deliver a 0.50% rate hike, but chances for a 0.75% hike are rising.

In this morning’s stock market recap video, I’ll discuss what today’s Fed data means and why… the biggest vulnerability in the market right now… where I see bonds trading in the near term… an update on the global economy… why volatility is spiking and what to expect next… my top stock and sector for this crazy market cycle… plus the weakest stock and three sectors to sell!

P.S. What WWII, the Great Recession and the COVID-19 Crash Had In Common

Trading has been harder than ever for most this year…

But what if you were able to take advantage of ONE market trend that’s been proven, time and time again?

One that’s never failed to unfold, even during the Great Depression, World War II, 1987’s Black Monday and the dot-com crash, to name a few…

We’re talking about one trend a very unlikely trader stumbled upon about 560 days ago… And once she shared this trend with me, I was SHOCKED!

I couldn’t believe I’d never seen this in my near-three decades of trading…

That’s why I insisted she reveal it to all my readers in a special live presentation. And the best part is, it didn’t cost a thing to attend!

If you missed the live event, not to worry…

99 Problems and a “Pivot” is One

A friend of mine sent me this chart about three months ago. I should probably print it and keep it in my wallet next to a photo of my daughter. Given the sheer number of questions I’ve fielded lately, I’ll probably end up showing this chart more than her picture.

Everything Everywhere, Going Down, All At Once

When our momentum reading went negative last week, I didn’t know that we’d have the second largest bank failure in U.S. history three days later. All I knew was that it went negative… and that we got out of the way.
